Documenting the impact of place on my personal growth is a primary interest in my art practice. A View From is an extension of this studio work, with twenty site-specific postcards chronicling my traversing of five trails in Fundy National Park. My collage-style drawings – referencing my honest, sometimes humorous accounts of my walks – draw attention to often overlooked details. The postcards invite visitors engage and record their own personal observations of each trail. A case installed at each trailhead offers the corresponding postcards as a take-away for park visitors, disseminating my own experience and encouraging them to share theirs.
