My art practice has been influenced greatly by my upbringing in rural Prince Edward Island, my connection with nature and seasonal tourism established there. With the nine installed large-scale works on East Branch, Lingering Winter will provide the trail users with a glimpse into a less familiar version of their immediate surroundings; the forest in the off-season. It is not a straight and accurate representation but rather a more interpretive and whimsical glance of the winter forest stripped bare of foliage and greenness.
