Moving Stones is a work which looks at stones as a mark of time on the land. By creating a geometrical spiral I am intersecting time as points we experience through movement. My relationship to stones are as a grandfather who is there for us throughout time. By engaging the stones as an ancestor I am inviting an intergenerational experience to become part of the present moment and part of the future. My hope is to create a space where people can take a moment to reflect on time as past and future in a moment to see the stones on the beach. When we stop to look at something we are acknowledging the land and the gifts it has to offer us.
